Dell computer repairs: $2,500 text from computer
A computer repair company in New York has given up its lease on a glass computer table after a customer sent a text message saying the desk was leaking and breaking.
The text message said a broken display had caused damage to a glass window.
The glass window broke during the Christmas break and Dell is paying $2.50 a piece to repair it, according to a statement from the company.
The company said the problem had been fixed.
The customer, who identified himself only as Mark, said he was using the table in the dining room to write and draw for the company, called Dell Computers.
He said he paid $2.,500 for the table and is now out of money.
The company, known as Dell Computations, says it is fixing the broken glass and replacing the screen.
A Dell spokesman said the company has had no issues with the customer.
